why i made morning sun

i’ve always been a perfume girl. but after years of navigating hormone and health issues, i started paying a lot more attention to what i was putting on my body. and i realized how little i actually knew about the fragrances i wore every day.

i didn’t want to give up smelling good. i just wanted to feel better about what i was putting on my skin.

so i spent sixteen months creating what i couldn’t find: a perfume that doubles as skincare, smells incredible, and is made with ingredients i feel good about.

i wanted to create a fragrance that smelled just as beautiful as the perfumes i’d always loved, with ingredients i felt good about putting on my skin. sixteen months and seven rounds of samples later, morning sun was born.

    the search.

    the natural perfumes, the essential oil blends, the clean alternatives. none of them smelled like the perfumes i’d always loved.

    finding my people.

    a fragrance house and a formulator who got the vision: beautiful, grown-up scents with thoughtfully chosen ingredients.

    seven rounds later.

    tested, tweaked, started over. until both scents were the kind you catch on your skin hours later and want more of.

    no shortcuts.

    every ingredient reviewed against our formulation standards. the details matter, even the ones you can’t see.
